The Azalea Park Steering Committee announced yesterday plans to solicit feedback from the Greater Hillwood community on a range of potential improvements to Azalea Park previously approved by the Fairfax County Park Authority. The survey, which will run from May 12 through May 25, represents the latest step in the committee's efforts to develop a plan to revitalize the park relying on funds proffered to the community by the Bozzuto Group real estate development and construction company.
The Committee will oversee distribution of the survey to each house in the Greater Hillwood community on Saturday, May 12. Responses can be returned electronically to Emily Jenkins (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by mail/hand to Julie Guzzo at 2901 Meadow Lane, Falls Church, VA 22042.
Surveys will be tallied and the responses provided to the Park Authority at the beginning of June. Based on responses to the survey, the Park Authority will work with the Steering Committee to develop a revitalization plan for Azalea Park. A final plan will be presented to the community and brought before the Greater Hillwood Citizens Association (GHCA) for a vote later this year.
