Proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment

At the Mason District Land Use Committee meeting of March 24, 2015, the Fairfax County staff from the Office of Community Revitalization, Department of Planning and Zoning, and Department of Transportation, presented the Seven Corners Plan Amendment to the community.  Some of the major objectives of the plan include:

Create a long range (2040) vision that is both responsive and a driver of change; Develop a modern transportation network that alleviates traffic congestion and serves all users including pedestrians, vehicles, bicyclists, and transit riders; Ensure the long-term economic viability of the Seven Corners area; Enhance the appearance and functionality of the area through the creation of a high-quality public realm with a variety of parks, plazas, and sidewalk spaces for the Seven Corners community; Improve the environmental sustainability of the community, and greater region.
